What does a session involve?
The initial consultation gives us a chance to meet and determine the best way forward for you. We'll discuss your situation and what you want to achieve. I will explain how the mind works and how hypnotherapy can help and will give you an indication of how many sessions you are likely to need. You can then decide if it is the right way forward for you. I will also give you a free download or CD to listen to between sessions.
Subsequent sessions involve discussing your progress and identifying desired changes and a way forward, followed by guided relaxation and visualisation techniques to help with the process of effecting beneficial change.
The number of sessions required varies but phobias normally take 2-4 sessions, anxiety typically takes 6-12 sessions and quitting smoking normally requires only one session.
My practice is located at Dorking Wellbeing Centre, 173 High Street, Dorking, RH4 1AD. Please note that Dorking Wellbeing Centre is accessible by stairs only. If stairs are a problem for you, please get in touch and I will do my best to arrange to see you at an alternative site.
Initial consultation: £30 (45-60 mins, includes a free relaxation CD or download)
Subsequent sessions: £60 (50-60 mins)
Smoking cessation: £150 (1½-2 hours, one-off session)

If you are unable to attend an appointment as planned, I ask that you give me 24 hours’ notice. I understand that sometimes this is not possible and I will do my best to work around you in such instances. However, I reserve the right to charge for appointments where less than 24 hours’ notice is given.
